
I love bagels! I like them alone, stuffed with cheese and salmon, with salad! Ummmm! The bagels ... What a delight!
- Ingredients:
- 500 g of flour
- 1 egg
- Salt
- Two spoonfuls of extract of malt
- Water (240 ml)
- Yeast (14 g)
- A spoonful of melted butter
To decorate:
- A white of egg
- Black and white sesam seeds
- Poppy seeds
2. Put the flour in a big cavity, mix with the salt and do a hole in the midle.
3. Fill the hole with water, malt, well-trodden egg and melted butter.
4. Gathering everything with the hand and to leave the mass to rest 10 minutes.
5. Put a bit of flour to the area of work and knead during other 10 minutes.
6. Place the mass in the cavity, cover with a rag and scope leaves until the double of volume.
7. To ignite the oven to 200 degrees.
8. Deflate the mass and to cut in 12 chunks. To these chunks we will give them ball form and will stop to rest covered with a rag during 5 minutes.
9. Do a hole in the half to every ball and to give form of doughnut. Cover with a rag and rest during 15 minutes.
10. Fill a casserole with water, add a spoonful of extract of malt and go to boiling.
11. Add the bagels of three in three. To stop boiling 30 seconds of every side and extract.
12. Put them in the tray of the oven, paint with white of egg and add the seeds.
13. Put to the oven during 20-25 minutes.
