The perfect spring pie: Strawberry Rhubarb pie

Last weekend I had a family meal.  My youngest sister has returned home after spending three months in Italy, and we celebrated gathering all the family around the table.
For this occasion I made this pie, Strawberry Rhubarb pie.  I took the recipe from here.
It was really great, not too sweet, slightly acid, and with a perfect butter flavored crust, the perfect spring pie...

Because friends, incredibly, with this much rain and cold, but we are in full spring!

  1. Ohiana, where did you get the rhubarb from? I am desperately looking for it and there is no way of finding it in Bilbo. Your pie looks fascinating, very american, I could imagine Yogi and bubu butterflying around your house.

  2. Intxaurtsu, I have been looking for rhubarb here for years and I never find it. This one was bought in Barcelona, in the Boqueria market. But, I hope that I will have my own rhubarb soon, because I have bought rhubarb plants on ebay to plant in my garden.
